" When they painted their masterpiece "

An exercise to enhance painting skills copying a master piece in a different master's style.

Making simplified portraits of batchmates taking their attributes and archetypes

Studying a space and visualizing a point of view of a bird/cat/dog. An added element or giving a different look to the space was also a part of the brief.

Making illustration or a one frame gag based on given Idioms.

Illustrating a set of five postcards and a State, food/language/natural resource map with the help of croquil and ink as a tool.

Illustrating the Story Toba Tek Singh by Saadat Hasan Manto.

Making a illustrative poster on the endangered species of the mother earth.

It was a roller coaster ride for three weeks with a bunch of  fifteen colourful personalities of second year animation batch of my alma mater. Its been three years I'm taking illustration course but perhaps this is the first time I actually managed to document each and every of the students work. It was of course a learning experience for me too as they made mistakes and made an effort to overcome the mistake. It was a mix bag of skilled/workaholic/lazy/lackluster personae. This is an effort to put some of the works together and reflection of my teaching abilites. The Class comprised of :
Ketki
Neerav
Aakansha
Nilomee
Mayura
Swathi
Venkatraman
Wangdan
Kirat
Abhishek
Ishika
Esha
Arushi
Neer
Rabindra

" To learn and never be filled is wisdom ; to teach and never be weary is love " .
Cheers to the cinema of wonders !!!!
